Hello! We are back from vacations, the laundry is almost done and Devri is currently asleep. I finally found some time to get back on the blog. I have lots to share...
Sunday the 13th was my last Sunday teaching my little primary class. I have not had a chance to miss it yet cause I have been helping the new teacher until a co-teacher is called. It's been the best because I get to go to primary and then I go to Relief Society while the kids are in sharing time. I'm excited to go to Relief Society again. I need some more spiritual upliftment and its great to get that from other women. I have not been sustained to my new calling yet so I won't tell you what it is but I am keeping busy with my two other calling so I think that I will manage. My other callings are stake girls camp committee member (camp is coming up next week!) and Relief Society temple coordinator.

Here are some lazy Sunday afternoon photos of the 2 year old...

Sunday nap!
|
Monday's are usually stay home and get things done day! This includes cleaning, meal planning, blogging, etc.
But we still get out a little bit on this day too...
 |
| Every other day Kurt and Devri go on a morning run. A lot of times I try to join them too. |
Monday night I went with my friend Holly to a yoga class on top of the Harmons at City Creek. The night turned interesting when we showed up and the teacher was not there. We found out that the class had been canceled because just before that it was windy. To not waste the trip and beautiful scenery my friend Holly and I decided to do our own yoga. The other 6 people that showed for the class wanted to do yoga too. I ended up teaching the class. Fun!

Tuesday I watched my neighbors baby boy. Devri loved having a baby over and was good help. I'm glad she took a nap the same time the baby did so I could have a little break...
Wednesday we woke up feeling excited for a eventful day ahead. My family was driving down from Idaho and my brother would be returning home from his mission. We planned to be at he Salt Lake airport at 1:15 pm to meet him.
That morning my mom called and said they had started driving down and she checked her email (she had been too busy getting ready to check her email the night before and that morning) and she had gotten an email from my brother the night before that said a typhoon was looming and he was not able to make his flight. We were all bummed. My dad called the churches travel office and they sent us new travel plans that said he would not be arriving until Monday at midnight (5 days later)! My parents turned around and went home.
My sisters Darci and Keshia (and her kids) continued to drive down to Utah because they were on there way to California that night. We spent some time with them...
After they left, because the day turned from eventful to uneventful Nicole and I decided to go shopping. She had taken the day off work so we might as well make it worth it.
One of our stops was Babies R Us to get Devri some church shoes (we got some really cute ones). Devri was obsessed with this bed. Guess we need to start thinking about getting her a big girl bed!
While we were in Dessert Book our mom called again. They received word that Nathan and his traveling companion talked to the airlines and got on a flight and they were currently in Detroit! We were jumping for joy! We heard they were getting a hotel room in Detroit and then they would fly to Salt Lake the next day!
Thursday my brother returned with honor from serving a two year mission in the Philippines San Pablo mission. We arrived at the airport at 10:30 am and saw our missionary! It was so fun! It made me so excited to be able to do it again in a month when my sister Brittany gets home and again when Kurt's parents get home (that's still awhile away:))

| Together again... Missing Keshia's family and Darci since they took off to CA. They were sad they missed it. |
After we left the airport we ate at the Red Iguana (Nathan wanted cheese since they don't really have cheese in the Philippines)...
 |
| Devri loves Red Iguana she ate her whole plate plus some. |
After we ate we went to City Creek and temple square. At Temple square we talked to Filipino sister missionaries and a Filipino family. Nathan mostly talked to them in Tagalog. At City Creek Nathan saw an Elder he met at the MTC that had just returned from his mission that day as well. Fun connections!

Friday I went to work as usual we did some errands in the morning and then had some time to kill before I took Devri to be watched by her cousin Haylee. We went to grandma and grandpa Francom's backyard to swing.
I found this random selfie Kurt took later that day...
Saturday we had our Lee Ward 4th Annual Trek to the Salt Lake Temple. This is where we walk from our ward building (on 3900 s and main) to the Salt Lake Temple. Unfortunately I only went for the beginning when we had breakfast at the church. I had to go to Park City and do some massages. I was kind of glad that I didn't have to walk in the heat though. Kurt and Devri treked and had a great time.
