The sleeping beauties...

So tonight Alanna's sister Nicole dropped by to spend the night since she will be attending a wedding reception tomorrow. I was at the kitchen table studying the magical world of international marketing and Alanna and Nicole were in the other room. But it was quiet so I finished studying and went in to see what was going on and this is what I found...

At least they weren't cuddling....that would have really been disturbing.

My DAD... Happy Fathers Day!

I started this post on Fathers Day, but, since girls camp was that week I was a little crazy with planning that so I didn't finish. Better later then never!

Since it's Fathers Day I just thought that I would say how
thankful I am for my Dad. Here is a little about him...
My Dad is an awesome person and is very likable. He is a potato farmer in Blackfoot, ID. My dad loves the soil and growing things. He has been farming since he was born (practically) and has worked hard all his life. One thing that comes to my mind the most (and what I have heard my mom say) is that my dad is very unselfish. He does a lot of service. Whenever there is a snow storm my dad is out for hours in his tractor plowing out the neighbors. He would do anything for us and others. He currently serves as 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. My dad knows how to have fun too. He takes all seven of us kids snowboarding, boating, on trips, ect ect. Here are some Pics.

This is me and my dad when I was three. I remember snowmobiling in island Park, Idaho

We are going on a daddy daughter date

Yes that is me driving the potato truck when I was 15. He taught me how to work. We worked long days(Sometimes 15 hours). I know that it helps me in my life now. I moved pipe, drove truck, drove tractor, operated the sand machine. Also I remember I loved to go to work with him when i was little and ride in the combines and tractors.
We snowboard all winter long. My parents have seven living children. I'm the first.

Then he gave me away to Kurt, but, thats ok cause we still have tons of fun. I'm so lucky to have parents that were always there for me and would do anything for me.

My Career as a Massage Therapist

Change~ Never Know What Life Brings
The science of healing and health had always been a interest to me in my life. When I was at BYU-Idaho a met a couple of girls that were Massage Therapists. Those girls fascinated me! I wanted to ask them so many questions. In October of 2003 I moved to Salt Lake City and started the Professional Program at the Utah College of Massage Therapy. In School I took classes such as Anatomy, Physiology, Hydrotherapy, Acupressure, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Injury Massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Russian Sports Massage, Structural Integration, and more. It was really really great time.

I Graduated in May 2004

In December of 2004 I started working in Park City with another Massage Therapist and in March of 2005 I took over over the practice(soon I will post pics). 3 1/2 years have gone by. I love my clients that I work on. It's been a huge blessing. I've been able to be involved in a lot of other things since I am able to schedule all my own appointments and have a flexible schedule. But, I'm a person who loves change. I love to experience different things and keep progressing.

Sanctuary

I am excited to say that I am now also working at the Sanctuary Day Spa at the Gateway and South town mall in Salt Lake. This is probably one of the nicest spas in Salt Lake. For now I will be working Tuesday Mornings, Weds and Thursdays in Park City. I will be working Monday's, Tuesday Nights, Friday and Saturday's at Sanctuary.
I started Monday and so far it's been really good. Monday was mostly a training day and I got a facial(one of the perks for working in a spa). Yesterday I picked up the morning shift at Sanctuary as well as the night and did seven massages(that is about my max, I honestly can say I don't think I have ever once done more then that in one day). Today I worked in Park City and did seven hours of massage. That, my friend, is a lot of massage. I did 14 hours of just massaging in 2 days(not including down time in between and set up)! It really was not to bad. Most would think I was crazy. But, I feel good at the progress. I'm also excited to see us getting ahead better financially, building our emergency saving better and wiping out our consumer debt(Which is probably what we teach and stress the most at Net worth Solutions). Well I better wrap this up and go to bed. Tomorrow is Thursday I didn't schedule any appointments in Park City so I picked up a shift at sanctuary. I'm actually kinda excited to go to work tomorrow. It's still all so new.
But, beware of the post that i will post in a couple weeks of how sick i am of working.:-) j/k. Well thanks for letting me do a little reminiscing. Also I wanted you to all know what was up.

Girls Camp!

Last week I went to girls camp! I have not been for about 6 years and I finally got to go back! It was a lot of work and a process. But, totally worth it. It's amazing to be with young women. I love my calling (even though it does take a lot of time). They go through so much at this age. I know that I did. It was awesome to see the spirit touch there lives and to all be together as girls.

Thanks Courtney, Veronica, Lizel, Sherrie, Janel, Jacuque and Katie. It was so fun!

Happy Birthday to Kurt

So as you can see Kurt had a Birthday! He is 26 years old. Here are some more pictures (this time not of the birthday suit)
(Picture: Nieces and nephews, Abbi, Alex,Lia,Mckay, Angie(Kurts Sister), Carter)
We go to Kurts parents for dinner on Sunday's. The whole entire family comes over. It's a blast! Get the three brothers together and it's craziness(just like three Kurts all at the same time, kinda). This Sunday dinner was a little more special we had peach cobbler and ice cream with candles on top. Kurt loves peach desserts so that is why it was made, complements to Kurts sister Angie who made it.

He got books and mints and a book holder open (it holds your books open on the treadmill or when you are eating breakfast which has already been used a lot) and of course the "birthday suit". Thanks for the gifts.
I Love You Kurt. I'm glad you had such a good Birthday. It was great because he got to spend it with his family.

Today I wore my BIRTHDAY SUIT

As it has been reported on CNN....today is my birthday. Of course many of you reading this have been looking forward to this day with much preparation. I myself have also been preparing for this day by deciding what the masses could give me. Because my church calling requires me to wear suits a couple times a week I thought it would be great to get a new suit. I have been wearing my mission suits most of the time and they are a little too old and a little too tight around the waist (they must of shrunk because heaven knows I didn't grow....where's my twinkies?)

I ordered my suit online at www.mensusa.com (I highly recommend this site) and I anticipated it's arrival. I wanted it in time to wear to church on my birthday. Then I realized that for the first time ever I would be wearing my BIRTHDAY SUIT to church.

Get the children out of the room because I have included pictures of me in my BIRTHDAY SUIT!!!!!

And here are the unrated ones....

Family Pictures

Recently we just got family pictures for us and both sides of our family. Here are the results... Enjoy!

Here are the pictures hung on the wall. I sold our coffee table and used the money to buy this rod from "rodworks" to hang them on. It's one of my favorite new stores.

Home Is Feeling a Little More Like Home... Before and After Pics!

We have lived in River Run Condos in South Salt Lake City for 1 year and 3 months now. Wow! Before we moved in we had a hard time finding just the right placed and searched for almost 3 months. But, the way that everything worked out I know that we were lead to were we are ment to be. We have tons of friend in our little community and I love it! Especially, when we go to the pool and feel like we are at a ward party.

Our little place was known for our dark brown walls. Well, i finally painted over them last month! Home feels more like home a little more each day. Although, we still are not done. Since we just painted we still have to get more wall decor and color into the room. But, here is what we have done so far.

This is me pasting on the venetian plaster that we put over this wall. It gave it a little more texture it looks really great! You can't really see it in the pictures very well. So you all will have to come over and see it. Oh... and by the way we are having another tragedy in our family the digital camera that Kurt gave me just before we got married is dying. See how fuzzy the picture is. Soon Kurt will probably post the cameras obituary like he did for our computer in February. Here are a few more pictures of our house....This will be the babies room someday and the next room to paint.
