7 Random Things About Us

We were Tagged! It's supposed to be "7 random Things About Me" but I'm going to do "7 random things about Us".

1. The first day we spoke to each other was July 3rd 2005. First Date was July 8th 2005. July 23, 2005 was the first time we held hands. July 24, 2005 was the first time I met my inlaws and our first kiss. The first time Kurt met my family and went to Idaho was July 25, 2005. Sept 30 2005 (Three Years from today) Kurt proposed and we got engaged! Jan 13, 2006 we were married in the Idaho Falls temple.

1. Remember in High School when you and your boyfriend and your friend and her boyfriend had "a song". A song that described how you feel about each other. At least that what I did in high school. One of the songs that me and one of my boyfriends had was called "Back at One" by Brian Mc knight. ha ha it's so funny to think about that.
I have a song that I feel is me and Kurts song. It's called "This Is Our Life" by Mary Beth Maziarz. If you go to her website you can listen to part of the song. It's on our wedding video and when I listen to the words it really fits. I love it. Mary Beth is a client of mine in Park City. I tried to see if I could get the song on my playlist, but, I couldn't. Here are the...

Lyrics:
This is our life... these are our days This is us trying to find our way This is the love... this is the dream This is us, learning how to be who we are Who we are...' cause this is our life This is our life, these are our friends, This is out family ... That grows and bends This is our chance, this is our time, This is us making things to somehow leave behind What will we leave behind ... to show that this is our life Cause I'm so thankful for each moment that we share Oh right here is everything I need I love our life, and I love you so much honey Thank you for loving me This is our life, straight or a mess These are our memories in progress This is our work, this is our hope This is us learning how to cope and laugh and cry It's all yours and mine ... Yeah this is our life

3. I'm the Oldest Kurt in the Youngest. So our oldest sibling is 35 and our youngest sibling is 10. We get both worlds.

4. We went to Disney World for our Honey Moon and to the Dominican Republic a year later. We are due for another Vacation. Kurt, hint hint.

5. We are so excited to be parents someday. We both want a large family. We are pretty baby hungry right now. Kurt was such a Cute little kid so our kids are going to be way cute( I was a cute kid too)!

6. Kurt in almost exactly 18 months older then me.

7. Currently things are pretty crazy. We both just look into each others eyes every night and we know we are both thinking the same thing "just get through the semester!". This semester we usually don't see each other until after 9:30 -10:00 everynight except Sunday. We are looking forward to a new chapter in our lives in January. We text each other constantly throughout the day. I love you Kurt happy the day you proposed to me.

GAME DAY GAME DAY GAME DAY!!!

For most people there is nothing better than that feeling of Christmas day. When it seems all is happy in the world and you wish that day happened more than once a year. Well....for me I get that feeling 12-13 times during the fall. BYU Football *sigh*...it's in my blood. I can't remember when I started going to the BYU football games. My dad started taking me when I was young. Back then I thought the purpose of the game was to try and convince my dad that it was essential that he buy me a snowcone. Little did I know that something special was happening down on the field. As I grew and matured I came to understand the sacredness of BYU football and have been overly obsessed ever since. No....really...I should probably go see someone about my addiction...it isn't healthy.

Well, this past week Alanna got to come down with me and enjoy the game by my side. It was definintely one of the funnest games I have been to and I look forward to taking her in the future. She made an effort to understand who was playing and what every call meant. I hope this doesn't mean I have to go to a chick flick with her and actually seem interested.

My Friday at Sanctuary

It has now been about 2 1/2 months since I have been working at Sanctuary. I still like it. Busy, but somehow it's all working out. I've met great people and have new friends. I have some cool bonuses too. 50% off all services and products, Trades, free Gym memberships at two different locations, ect. I think that there are family and friends discounts too. I'll find that out. To go to there website Click Here

Crazy story:
Friday morning I went to go work at the southtown location(I mostly work at the gateway location but one day a week I work at south town). When I got there the back door was locked which was kinda weird. So I walked into the mall and went clear around to the front of the store. There was a sign on the door that said "due to fire we are temporarily closed, sorry for the inconvience". The first think I thought was "Yeah! if they are closed then I don't have to work!". I got inside cause the front desk girls were there and sure enough I didn't have to work that day. The Lead Massage Therapist text me but we figured out that she texted the wrong number telling me to not come in. But, I guess it was not a whole waste of a trip cause I got all the details and walked back into the sanctuary.
The day before on Thursday around noon the dryer started on fire and all the towels that were in the dryer were on fire. There was a lot of smoke and the sprinkler system went off. A lot of things had to be thrown away and there were three inches of water on the floor. On Friday when I walked into the Sanctuary it was actually pretty scary. Cause instead of walking into a nice relaxing environment. There were fans everywhere, paintings were off the walls, things were pulled out of rooms, and it smelled like smoke. It was crazy! I walked into the laundry room and the dryer was black.
When it happened there were two Massage Therapists on the scene and they got most of it out with a fire extinguisher. They went into the hospital just to make sure that there lungs were ok from all the smoke. They are OK. Luckily there was only a pedicure going on which is very lucky cause usually they are pretty busy at southtown and all the treatment rooms are full. That would be crazy! Although, there was a girl in the salon part that had bleach in her hair and so they had to go to another salon to wash it out. lol.
I talked to the Lead Therapist yesterday when I was at work at the gateway she said that they still have a lot to do, but, they will probably be open again on Friday. She said most of the smell is gone. They are still deciding if the carpets need to be replaces. They are also taking this time to do some deep cleaning. I'm also concerned that it I do go into work on Friday there won't be very many appointments cause it will probably be the first day they are open. I'll make sure that I have my book "breaking dawn" that day(never know though). I think I'm also blessed in the fact that I'm not at south town full time cause then I would be out of work. I got the good end of the deal cause all the regular people that go to south town are coming to the gateway for there appointment so we have been busy.So on my day off I went and did a little window shopping. I went to rod works and quilted bear. When I get stuff sold from my old massage room I'm going to use the money to buy decor from my house. I already have all the plans to decorate. I'm so excited! We are also selling our futon, a bookcase, and some cute lamps that I don't use cause we don't need them.

Kurt got free tickets to Laughing Stock downtown so we went there that night with Joe and Courtney. It's a good show. Also before that Kurt and I went to Noodles and Company for dinner we were on a time limit cause we had to get to our show. I was so hungry and was so excited to get our food. I was pretty much going crazy cause it was taking so long so finally I went and asked them where our food was. Ended up that they didn't know who it was for and so they threw it away! When they said that I was so distraught cause I was so hungry. "I could not believe it! I was afraid to say anything else cause I didn't want to say something rude so I had Kurt go ask how long it would be, change it to go instead of to stay, and get two free meal Vouchers. So I guess it was worth it in the long run. I only got a few bites then we had to go to the show. I ended eating the rest of it at midnight after we got got out of the Theater.

My New Office:-)

Since I started working at Sanctuary and only going to Park City twice a week I have been looking for someone to share my office with or move to a different office. It does not make sense to be paying a lot for space and only being there a couple days. Finally last week I moved! It's a little cheaper and I share it with a girl names Diana, who has been a great person to work with.

It's in a brand new building that opened up this year "Silver Mountain Building" in Kimball Junction. The office is located in Salon 7.
The picture does not really do justice! The flash makes it look lighter. It's so relaxing in here with the lights dimmed and the candles going. My clients have LOVED it! I love the feel and the energy in this office. It's a little more Feng Shui then my last space. Business has been great here in the two days that I have worked here I did 8 massages(thats really good).

Below is a picture of my old office located in Surface Medical Spa.

I'm going to miss it.

Since my new office is already furnished I had to take all this stuff home. It took me three car loads. I don't know what I'm going to do with it all. Most of it I am selling.

Another change that happened to us last week is that Kurt got a new job! He now works in North Salt Lake for a law firm selling credit repair(same thing he was doing before but with a better easier company to work for). I can tell that he enjoys it much better then the last place he was at. We feel so blessed that we have had these new opportunities!
