Growing Up Best Friends

In High School I had such great friends! We went through lots together and have so many fun memories! I still keep in touch with most of them. We grew up in Idaho and so most of us live in different towns now. But, Blogging, face book, and my space make it easier. So I wanted to write a post just for all of you BFF's!

Ashley Phillips

Since Kurt has been working on Friday nights and I work on Sat night. I've been getting "Girls Night Out" and he's been getting "Guy's Day Out To The Football Game". Friday night I hung out with Ashley. She just moved to Utah and we finally got together!!! It was so much fun! We went to the olive garden and caught up on our lives. So I just wanted to thank her again for the fun night! We have played when we were little girls. Then in High School she invited me to a party and we have been friends since. I remember my senior year of high school her and I went to the Idaho state fair every night together. She just moved to Utah and we finally got together!!! It was so much fun! We went to the olive garden and caught up on our lives. So I just wanted to thank her again for the fun night! We didn't get pictures of that night. Bummer. But, I thought that this was a super cute pic of Ashley that I have had for a couple year. Love her!

Katie Stander Simonson

Katie and I were due (to come into the world lol) on the same day and are nine days apart. We have pictures of us as babies together. Thats how far we go back. Katie and her mom made a short trip to Utah a few weeks ago. I was so happy that they took the time to come see me. It was super fun. We met at the Gateway in Salt Lake and went to California Pizza Kitchen. Then did a little shopping. We have done lots of shopping together in our lives. Our moms dressed us in the same outfits lots of times. Our senior year we were inseparable. We were roomates at BYU-Idaho too!

This pic definitly describes her personality. Love her!

Ashley Chemene Shelton Griffith
So Ashley called me last week and left a message. This is what is said: "ALANNA!, this is Ashley Chemene Shelton Griffith!". Ha, of course I remember you! She is always way super enthusiastic. I love her. Since I we have not hung out latley I totally miss her. I would go to her house after school and we would talk for hours. Mostly about boys and how crazy they are.

This picture was as a New Years Party in like 2003. Love her red hair. GoUrgeOuS

Katy Lane Murdock
Katy and I keep in close on Instant Messanger. Also she is my favorite person to visit when I go to Idaho. We went to private school together and we worked together at Murdock Apperal. She taught me to sew. Definitly great times. Next time we hang out we need to get pics I don't have hardly any of you!
Love you girl! This pic was taken in 2001

Amanda Cobbley Willard
Amanda and I went to Private school together. It was super fun to go to her house after school. I was friends with Amanda when I first discovered email. We emailed each other like everyday. It was hilarious. I wish I still had my old email account and had all those emails. Anyways Amanda and I lost touch of each other for a few years. But, just recently she found me on my space. It was crazy. I'll post a pic soon.

Elizabeth Whyte Jacobson
I saved the best for last. Just kidding your all the BEST. Through elementary school on up to Junior High we proably spent the most our time together then some more after that. The Whyte's were in our ward at church. We had lots and lots of sleep overs. Thats what I remember the most. Sleep overs with the Whytes were the best. Proably six months ago I went to visit her in Brigham City(where she lives now) and every now and then have a long conversation on the phone. Good Time!
This Pic was at Ashley's Wedding in June 2006. We are due for a chat soon! Miss you!

Google It....Kurt Style!

I try to keep my wife entertained by my posts on here so that she still knows I am just as cool as I was when we first met....probably even cooler. Probably when I google images about me I will just find pictures of myself receiving all sorts of awards and shaking hands with famous people, but let's see what we get.

My first name: KURT

So maybe I have a special outfit that I like to wear around the house. And yes I am referring to the black outfit. What happens in my home is my own business.....ALRIGHT!!!!????

My Middle Name: HAROLD
This one is ironic because I stand like this every morning as I look into the mirror.

My Last Name: FRANCOM
I wonder who drew this?

My Age: 26 years 3 months 21 days
Yeah...I don't get it either.

Where do I want to go?:
Iceland...it's a place that not too many people talk about visiting but I hear it is incredible.

From the pictures I have seen my Grandmother was just as pretty. I obviously have the same taste as my Grandpa.

Place I grew up:
A lot of my fellow citizens from "Best Valley City" get their pictures on the news like this. I don't want the fame though...it would corrupt me.

My First Pet:
Yeah...mine only had one head though.

My First Job:
Deseret News....three years

Favorite food:
I've heard in heaven that all there will be to eat is peach cobbler....and I won't complain one bit.

"Google It"

My BFF Courtney did this on her blog a couple months ago and I've been wanting to do it since. It is kinda Fun!!!

This is a fun and different tag:

Go to google images and type in your own answers for the topics below. Pick your favorite image on the first 3 pages of results and post it. (Try to do a different image than these if you have the same answer).

My first name:

I Guess my name is the name of a band. I read more about them here
http://www.puckfair.ie/viewnews.php?id=26
The reason that they names there band Alanna is cause the name 'Alanna' comes from the Irish language which translates to 'my love'. I've never heard that before. Interesting.

Middle Name:
I don't have a middle name. My maiden name is Polatis

Most the images for Polatis was pictures that I or my relatives put on there Blog. But, I guess there is a company named Polatis. Weird.

Last Name:

This was the only this that was not a picture of a headstone or a old guy. lol

My Age:

I don't watch this show, but, we have a lot of friends and family that do

Where I want to go:

I did a report on Hawaii when I was little. Ever since then I've had Hawaii on my places to go list.

Past Love:

When I was single I went dancing every week at least. It was so fun. Kurt and I have been a couple times. But, crazy schedules and laziness after long days of work has gotten in the way. Someday, we are planning to go more again.

7 Random Things About KURT!!!

So Alanna did 7 random things about us....but I figured I would try it myself. I am going to try and think of 7 things that very few people know about me. Those close family members and friends will probably know these but let's see if I can surprise you.

Numero 1- In high school I was quite fluent in ASL (American Sign Language) I dated a girl for some time that was deaf and we communicated comfortably in ASL. I would interpret for her in seminary and we even went to a deaf ward a few times. On my mission I ran into a few deaf people and was able to communicate to some extent. I taught two discussion in ASL during my 2 years of service.

Number 2- Growing up I had a turtle named Toby that ran away for 2.5 years and then came back. (long story) He now resides in Idaho with my in-laws and he has run away again. You better bundle up Toby! Those Idaho winters are no fun outside.

Third- I was the Granger High Sterling Scholar for Art. Many might already know that but many might not know that I earned that position by default. Nobody else wanted it...so I took it. Just one more thing to put on college applications. That pushed me over the edge of qualifying for the world renown Utah Valley State College.

Four- My ears are not level and one sticks out further than the other. This has always caused a problem when I am trying to make my sideburns even. Luckily I have perfect vision because glasses don't stay on my face straight. Also, my right foot is about a 1/2 inch bigger than my left. I'm just your typical freak of nature....throw me in a bell tower somewhere.

Cinco- I rarely listen to music. Unless it is Sunday and I need some Mo-Tab filling the air. In general I find popular radio music boring. When somebody asks me what I listen to, I just say....I don't. If I am listening to something it has to be educational or informational or else I get bored.

VI- I have scars that cover my chest and back because of a skin condition I had on my mission. Once again....just throw me in a bell tower.

7- I love to draw caricatures and am starting a business around that. Stay tuned for www.drawyoufunny.com I hope to have it up and running by 2009 or sooner. In fact here are a few sketches I did during LDS General Conference. Can you guess the ones that aren't labeled?
