A Chocolate Cure Experiment

Today I have been dealing with a new found cough that someone so kindly gave to me. You know the feeling...you sit at work and cough your guts out while you know everyone around you is wishing you would stop the spread of germs. I'm a bit self-conscious but I hate it when I have to sit next to the the sick guy too. But it's a new job and I am against the whole call-in-sick-when-it's-my-first-week. So sorry dude...I'm going to cough on you all day so my family can eat.

Moving forward in my story...I find myself sitting at home tonight really sick of coughing and realizing this may be my destiny for the next couple of days. I hate taking cold/cough medicines because it makes me go loony so I avoid them at all costs. So I jump online in search of a natural cough suppressant. I come across a blog that talks about cocoa being a great cough suppressant. I recommend taking the time to read it here. So it tells me a recipe for hot chocolate that will at least help my cough. I figure I will put it to the test and it's CHOCOLATE so it must be wonderful, right? Well the recipe is 10 oz Milk, 2 Tbs Sugar and 1/4 Cup Cocoa. I put the cocoa in and thought...."Whoa, that's a lot of cocoa". I am now sitting at the computer sipping from this cup of cocoa and WOW....THAT'S IS A LOT OF COCOA. It's so rich! I can't say that I am enjoying this chocolate experience but we'll see how well it does on my cough.

That would be the family cough we've been passing around. I've already coughed up a lung myself. It's fun isn't it?
