It turns out that baby making isn't as easy as your eighth-grade health teacher said it was. Because of this we have made the decision to find that piece of our family through adoption. We have already concluded much of the process which includes filling out forms, taking physicals, surrendering our financials, answering tough questions, background checks, home visits, and so forth. We are happy to announce we have finally been approved for adoption.
Over the last four years we have fasted, prayed, and done everything in our power to start a family. Our loving Father in Heaven has not permitted such a blessing to come into our family. Much heartache and frustration has been present as we have struggled to understand His plan for us and what is required. Like many other trials the Lord has shown us His gentle mercy by making the worst thing become the best thing. We are now blessed to be apart of the adoption process and allowing our child to come into our life through a different path.
How can you help?
I thought you would never ask!!! Unfortunately there is no "due date" for when the adoption will happen. It can be a few months or a few years before a birth mother chooses to place a child in our home. Any time someone is searching for something in life (religion, employment, or a good mechanic) networking is usually most effective. This might be done in the following ways:
- Making mention or placing a link to our adoption blog on your family's blog/website.
- Requesting pass-along cards from us that you can share with others.
- Simply remembering us if you encounter a pregnant mother that is considering adoption.
We realize we are asking a lot but would love to have you be apart of this special experience that we will remember forever.
Adoption is something many aren't familiar with and we know there are a lot of question and it may feel awkward to ask us. We honestly don't mind questions and encourage you to ask.
Most of all we ask you keep us in your prayers as we embark in this journey. He is the answer to all and our deepest desire is to submit to His will.
Love,
Kurt and Alanna Francom

WooHOo!! I am so excited for you! Adoption is such an amazing spiritual experience and you will feel incredibly lucky when that child is placed in your arms. There are so many people Heavenly Father puts in the right place at the right time in order for you to adopt and it is amazing to watch unfold. Send me some pass along cards!

This is exciting news!! I hope it all happens quickly but know that you will be blessed as the Lord sees fit. Greg's oldest sister and her husband have now adopted 5 kids but they waited quite a while in the beginning. Adoption is a wonderful thing and we are so happy for you!

We have a number of nieces and nephews who are special members of our family who were adopted. They are a great source of joy and love and were clearly meant to be our family.
You'll be wonderful parents, miracles will bring your children to you. We love you.
God bless.
