It has now been about 2 1/2 months since I have been working at Sanctuary. I still like it. Busy, but somehow it's all working out. I've met great people and have new friends. I have some cool bonuses too. 50% off all services and products, Trades, free Gym memberships at two different locations, ect. I think that there are family and friends discounts too. I'll find that out. To go to there website Click Here
Crazy story:
Friday morning I went to go work at the southtown location(I mostly work at the gateway location but one day a week I work at south town). When I got there the back door was locked which was kinda weird. So I walked into the mall and went clear around to the front of the store. There was a sign on the door that said "due to fire we are temporarily closed, sorry for the inconvience". The first think I thought was "Yeah! if they are closed then I don't have to work!". I got inside cause the front desk girls were there and sure enough I didn't have to work that day. The Lead Massage Therapist text me but we figured out that she texted the wrong number telling me to not come in. But, I guess it was not a whole waste of a trip cause I got all the details and walked back into the sanctuary.
The day before on Thursday around noon the dryer started on fire and all the towels that were in the dryer were on fire. There was a lot of smoke and the sprinkler system went off. A lot of things had to be thrown away and there were three inches of water on the floor. On Friday when I walked into the Sanctuary it was actually pretty scary. Cause instead of walking into a nice relaxing environment. There were fans everywhere, paintings were off the walls, things were pulled out of rooms, and it smelled like smoke. It was crazy! I walked into the laundry room and the dryer was black.
When it happened there were two Massage Therapists on the scene and they got most of it out with a fire extinguisher. They went into the hospital just to make sure that there lungs were ok from all the smoke. They are OK. Luckily there was only a pedicure going on which is very lucky cause usually they are pretty busy at southtown and all the treatment rooms are full. That would be crazy! Although, there was a girl in the salon part that had bleach in her hair and so they had to go to another salon to wash it out. lol.
I talked to the Lead Therapist yesterday when I was at work at the gateway she said that they still have a lot to do, but, they will probably be open again on Friday. She said most of the smell is gone. They are still deciding if the carpets need to be replaces. They are also taking this time to do some deep cleaning. I'm also concerned that it I do go into work on Friday there won't be very many appointments cause it will probably be the first day they are open. I'll make sure that I have my book "breaking dawn" that day(never know though). I think I'm also blessed in the fact that I'm not at south town full time cause then I would be out of work. I got the good end of the deal cause all the regular people that go to south town are coming to the gateway for there appointment so we have been busy.
So on my day off I went and did a little window shopping. I went to rod works and quilted bear. When I get stuff sold from my old massage room I'm going to use the money to buy decor from my house. I already have all the plans to decorate. I'm so excited! We are also selling our futon, a bookcase, and some cute lamps that I don't use cause we don't need them.Kurt got free tickets to Laughing Stock downtown so we went there that night with Joe and Courtney. It's a good show. Also before that Kurt and I went to Noodles and Company for dinner we were on a time limit cause we had to get to our show. I was so hungry and was so excited to get our food. I was pretty much going crazy cause it was taking so long so finally I went and asked them where our food was. Ended up that they didn't know who it was for and so they threw it away! When they said that I was so distraught cause I was so hungry. "I could not believe it! I was afraid to say anything else cause I didn't want to say something rude so I had Kurt go ask how long it would be, change it to go instead of to stay, and get two free meal Vouchers. So I guess it was worth it in the long run. I only got a few bites then we had to go to the show. I ended eating the rest of it at midnight after we got got out of the Theater.

Wow , crazy about the fire! I am glad you aren't out of a job for too long. Too funny about the meal being late. You sound like me, when I am hungry you just better get me my food.
