7 Random Things About KURT!!!

So Alanna did 7 random things about us....but I figured I would try it myself. I am going to try and think of 7 things that very few people know about me. Those close family members and friends will probably know these but let's see if I can surprise you.

Numero 1- In high school I was quite fluent in ASL (American Sign Language) I dated a girl for some time that was deaf and we communicated comfortably in ASL. I would interpret for her in seminary and we even went to a deaf ward a few times. On my mission I ran into a few deaf people and was able to communicate to some extent. I taught two discussion in ASL during my 2 years of service.

Number 2- Growing up I had a turtle named Toby that ran away for 2.5 years and then came back. (long story) He now resides in Idaho with my in-laws and he has run away again. You better bundle up Toby! Those Idaho winters are no fun outside.

Third- I was the Granger High Sterling Scholar for Art. Many might already know that but many might not know that I earned that position by default. Nobody else wanted it...so I took it. Just one more thing to put on college applications. That pushed me over the edge of qualifying for the world renown Utah Valley State College.

Four- My ears are not level and one sticks out further than the other. This has always caused a problem when I am trying to make my sideburns even. Luckily I have perfect vision because glasses don't stay on my face straight. Also, my right foot is about a 1/2 inch bigger than my left. I'm just your typical freak of nature....throw me in a bell tower somewhere.

Cinco- I rarely listen to music. Unless it is Sunday and I need some Mo-Tab filling the air. In general I find popular radio music boring. When somebody asks me what I listen to, I just say....I don't. If I am listening to something it has to be educational or informational or else I get bored.

VI- I have scars that cover my chest and back because of a skin condition I had on my mission. Once again....just throw me in a bell tower.

7- I love to draw caricatures and am starting a business around that. Stay tuned for www.drawyoufunny.com I hope to have it up and running by 2009 or sooner. In fact here are a few sketches I did during LDS General Conference. Can you guess the ones that aren't labeled?
